Workspace
Every Arboris client has a workspace. The workspace is where you connect accounting data, review financial signals, ask evidence-grounded questions, and prepare the client-ready review.
The self-client created during signup and every external client use the same workspace model.
Workspace layout
Section titled “Workspace layout”The workspace includes:
- A top area with breadcrumbs and account messages.
- A client sidebar with client context, integration status, last sync freshness, alert counts, and client switching.
- Four tabs: Analysis, AI Chat, Integrations, and Reports.
The sidebar helps you keep client context while you move across tabs. The tab content is where the review work happens.
| Tab | Primary use |
|---|---|
| Analysis | Review KPIs, trend charts, data coverage, cost breakdowns, decision surfaces, and anomalies. |
| AI Chat | Ask financial questions that are answered with confidence tags and source evidence. |
| Integrations | Connect QuickBooks, monitor sync history, run manual syncs, reconnect, disconnect, or purge source data. |
| Reports | Build and export the Full Financial Review PDF. |
Analysis is the default tab because it is the quickest way to see whether the client has enough fresh data for a review.
Recommended review flow
Section titled “Recommended review flow”- Open the client from Command Center.
- Check the sidebar for QuickBooks status and sync freshness.
- If QuickBooks is not connected, open Integrations and connect it.
- After a successful sync, open Analysis and review KPIs, trends, coverage, and anomalies.
- Open AI Chat to ask targeted questions about material changes or client concerns.
- Save useful AI output for report use when available in the app.
- Open Reports, select sections, and export the client-ready PDF.
- Return to Command Center and continue the portfolio review.
Keyboard shortcuts
Section titled “Keyboard shortcuts”When focus is outside a text input or composer, workspace shortcuts help you move quickly:
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
1 | Open Analysis. |
2 | Open AI Chat. |
3 | Open Integrations. |
4 | Open Reports. |
/ | Open or focus client search. |
G | Return to Command Center. |
N | Start a new AI session from the AI tab. |
Shortcuts are ignored while you type in fields, chat composers, or other text controls.
Data readiness
Section titled “Data readiness”Workspace readiness depends on both integration state and source data quality. A connected QuickBooks account is necessary, but not always sufficient. Arboris also checks whether the latest sync is fresh, whether required reports are present, whether transactions exist for the selected period, and whether KPI suppressions or data gaps need to be surfaced.
If a workspace has no financial data yet, Analysis, AI Chat, and Reports direct you back to Integrations so you can connect QuickBooks or resolve sync issues.
AI and evidence
Section titled “AI and evidence”AI Chat is client-scoped. It uses the current client’s synced financial evidence and does not answer from another client’s data. Analytical claims carry confidence tags and supporting evidence so you can decide whether an answer is ready for client-facing use.
When there is zero financial data for the client, Arboris does not fabricate an analysis. It directs you to connect QuickBooks first.
Reports
Section titled “Reports”The Reports tab produces the Full Financial Review PDF. The report can include profitability summary, cost breakdown, revenue trends, anomaly report, transaction detail, and an AI financial narrative. AI narrative content is labeled as advisory and includes confidence tags and evidence citations.
